Urgent Problem?
For a burst pipe or water spreading across a floor, shut off the main valve first, then call. The burst pipe checklist walks through the first steps.
Setting Up the Visit
Every request is read and answered at the phone number or email you prefer, to confirm the details and find a time that works. If the problem sounds like it could get worse fast, say so in the message or check the urgent box.
Useful Details for a Request
- Which fixtures or rooms are affected, and on which floor.
- When it started, and whether it is constant or comes and goes.
- Whether the water is shut off right now.
- The age of the water heater, if the problem involves hot water.
- For a rental or a commercial space, who will let us in.
Request Questions
What should I put in the message?
What you see and hear, where in the house it is, and when it started. “The basement floor drain backs up when the washer drains, started last week” tells us far more than “clogged drain.” If it is a water heater, the age or the brand helps.
Should I mark the request as urgent?
Yes, if water is leaking or a drain is backing up and you cannot use it. For anything that is flooding right now, call instead of writing: a phone call reaches us faster than a form.
Can I attach photos?
Photos go by email rather than through the form: send them to devin@botzumplumbing.com with your name and street, and we will match them to your request.
Do I need to be home for the visit?
Usually yes, or someone over 18 who can let us in and show us the problem. For a rental, the owner or manager can arrange access with the tenant.
Water on the floor right now? Call instead of writing.
